Tonight, the 2022 American Music Awards will draw the industry’s biggest stars to the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The awards ceremony—celebrating the year’s best musicians and performances—will be hosted by actor Wayne Brady. On the main stage, expect to see some memorable performances from Pink, Dove Cameron, Carrie Underwood, Bebe Rexha, and more. Singer Lionel Richie, a 17-time AMA winner, will also be honored with the special Icon Award.
Before the ceremony kicks off, however, the red carpet will see celebrities put forward their best (and boldest) ensembles. After all, would it be a true award show without a glitzy red carpet filled with designer looks? It helps that the AMAs have a history of statement looks: Just look back to Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake’s matching 2000s denim, or more recently, Lizzo’s tiny Valentino purse in 2019, or Cardi B’s surreal Schiaparelli face mask worn last year.
